BPE, PTT Chemical and PTTPM announced the introduction of Green Plastic which is a plastic product ready to be exported to the world market.

            During the seminar on “Green Plastic and Chemical Standard” on 25th September 2007 at the Shangri-la Hotel, Bangkok, attended by over 400 participants, PTT Chemical, BPE and PTTPM announced the introduction of Green Plastic which is a plastic product ready to be exported to the world market with its safety standard and environmental friendly quality certified by RoHS and FDA, and many other international standards certifications.

            Green Plastic is the resin production project under the Green Policy with which every single company in the PTT group is attached to be obliged by, to derive quality product certified by international standards, free from substances hazardous to human health and the environment. The certifications cover from the commencement of production process, raw materials used in the production, up to the quality of end products. This project is the co-operation among PTT Chemical Public Company Limited, Bangkok Polyethylene Company Limited (BPE), a production subsidiary company in the PTT Chemical Group, and PTT Polymer Marketing Company Limited, which is also in the PTT Group, High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) resin distributor; is high density the first certified manufacturer and distributor of polymer in Thailand.

            The products under the Green Plastic project is high density are polyethylene polymers (HDPE) under the brand name of NPCX and Thai-zex. All grades of polymers will contain no chemicals affecting human health and the environment. The safeguard is made possible because of the raw materials used, production process that has been certified by world-class standard, including EU’s RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substance), governing the control of substances in electrical and electronics appliance that are prone to environmentally harmful; also certified by the USA’s Foods and Drugs Association (FDA).

            With Green Plastic launched by PTT Chemical, BPE and PTTPM certification by the international standard, it is a confidence guarantee for the plastic industrialists’ who are clients of PTT Chemical, BPE and PTTPM for them to select this product per se because of its process of raw materials used and production process under the Green Policy project, This will enhance the industrialists’ competitiveness in their export to the world market.
